About Liat Handing

Liat Handing, founder of The Handing Group, has been in this field for more than 17 years. Graduated from Cal State University, Fullerton and Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of New York.

Liat has a therapeutic approach in which she strives to listen compassionately and formulate flexible therapeutic approaches that fit the individual situation as she recognizes that each circumstance is unique.

It is based on professional experience that she decided to make her therapy practice available on the phone and online to reach as many people as she could help realizing that the hardest step for people to take is the step in which they have to reach out to someone for assistance. The comfort and confidentiality of this style of counseling has enabled her practice to reach and help so many more people in need.

Liat has extensive multi cultural and religious experience through both education and life exposure while traveling the United States and parts of the world. She also spent years working with adolescents in the midst of serious family issues and drug addictions. These experiences lead to lengthy research of obsessive compulsive disorders and self mutilation problems.

Through these personal journeys and professional expertise, she developed her philosophy and has been successful in her abilities and is personally invested in the success of all clients in her practice.
